Physiological performance, yield and quality of crops as influenced by boron

The objective of this investigation was to assess the direct and residual effect graded levels boron (B) on growth, yield quality parameters crops in cauliflower-cowpea-okra cropping sequence. For experimentation, cauliflower grown as a test crop B fertilization while cowpea okra were succeeding fertilization. study revealed an incremental trend plant physiological corresponding escalating level. Leaf area index (LAI), total chlorophyll content NR activities leaves parameters, viz. ascorbic acid, protein starch edible portion all found significantly highest with application 2 kg B/ha. However, contrary exhibited inverse relationship higher rate wherein depletion 31.7% observed B/ha over control.
